Simple and Savory Homemade Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Toppings of your choice: lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat a grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently shape them into patties, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Season both sides of each patty generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, avoiding pressing down on them to retain juices. Adjust cooking time based on desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a minute.
  6. Assemble your simple and savory homemade burgers: Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Add your preferred toppings such as lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayo, or any other condiments you enjoy.
  7. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Feel free to customize the burger with your favorite seasonings or sauces to enhance the savory flavor. Adding Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, or onion powder to the ground beef before shaping the patties can also add depth to the taste.
