Rosemary Infused Steak Fries

Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, washed and dried
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper (optional) to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the washed and dried russet potatoes into thick steak fries, around 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch thick. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over low heat. Add the fresh rosemary sprigs to the warm oil and let it infuse for 5-7 minutes, allowing the oil to absorb the rosemary flavor. Remove the rosemary sprigs from the oil and discard them (the infused oil will have a subtle rosemary aroma).
  4. In a mixing bowl, toss the steak fries with the rosemary-infused olive oil until they’re evenly coated.
  5. Spread the fries on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.
  6. Season the fries with salt and, if desired, black pepper for additional flavor.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes or until the fries are golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
  8. Once done, remove the fries from the oven and transfer them to a serving dish.
  9. Optionally, garnish the Rosemary Infused Steak Fries with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and added flavor.
  10. Serve the steak fries hot as a delightful side dish or a flavorful snack.

These Rosemary Infused Steak Fries offer a fragrant twist to the classic fries, with the subtle aroma of rosemary enhancing their flavor. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences and enjoy these aromatic and crispy fries!
