Hearty Garlic Herb Steak Fries

Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, washed and dried
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the washed and dried russet potatoes into thick steak fries, about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch thick. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, dried oregano, and paprika if using. Stir well to combine the herbs and oil.
  4. Place the steak fries in a large mixing bowl. Pour the herb-infused olive oil mixture over the fries. Toss the fries thoroughly to ensure they are evenly coated with the herb-infused oil.
  5. Spread the seasoned steak fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Season the fries with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the fries are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
  8. Once done, remove the fries from the oven and transfer them to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
