Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens

Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens is a bacterium that infects plants. The bacterium can cause spoilage of alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and spirits. No cases of animal infection have been reported, and only one case of human infection has been described. This was reported in 2020 in a patient with immunodeficiency and liver cirrhosis. The patient eventually recovered from the infection.
