Auricular hematoma

A collection of blood (hematoma) in the tissues of the outer ear. It occurs as a result of blunt, shearing trauma applied to the ear and is an injury most often seen in wrestlers. Symptoms and signs include red or bluish discoloration, swelling, and deformity of the outer ear. Also known as ear hematoma. See also hematoma.
