Aquagenic keratoderma

A rare condition of the skin of the palms and occasionally of the soles of the feet. It most often affects women and teens. Symptoms of aquagenic keratoderma include swelling, whitish bumps, and excessive wrinkling of the skin of the palms after contact with water or sweat. A burning sensation, itching, and pain are often present. The symptoms go away gradually within 20 minutes after contact with water. The exact cause of this condition is not well understood.
