All-American Juicy Cheeseburger

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean meat, 20% fat for juiciness)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of cheese (American cheese is a classic choice)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Handle the meat gently and avoid overworking it to keep the burgers tender.
  3. Season both sides of the burger patties generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side without pressing down on them. This helps to retain the juices.
  5. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes (for medium-rare to medium doneness) or until they reach your desired level of doneness. If adding cheese, place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and let it melt.
  6. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  7. Once the burgers are cooked to your liking and the cheese has melted, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a minute.
  8. Assemble your burgers: Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Add your preferred toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or mayo.
  9. Top with the other half of the bun and serve your delicious, juicy All-American cheeseburgers immediately. Enjoy!

Feel free to customize your cheeseburgers with additional toppings or seasonings based on your preferences.
