C4 plant

Plant that first makes a 4-carbon acid via PEP carboxylase in mesophyll, then runs the Calvin cycle in bundle sheaths (Kranz anatomy). The CO2 pump cuts photorespiration.

Advantage in high light, high temperature and relative drought.
