What it is
Flashcards force a question → answer loop. Each card should test one fact, definition, or step — not a whole paragraph.
When to use it
Best for vocabulary, formulas, dates, definitions, and short processes you must recall quickly.
How to do it
- Write a clear question on one side and the answer on the other.
- Sort cards into “know” and “don’t know” after each round.
- Review “don’t know” cards again the same day and after 2–3 days.
Common mistakes
- Cramming too much text onto one card.
- Only reviewing cards you already know.
- Making cards but never scheduling review sessions.
