Pound Cake Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients

FOR BREAD BOWL

  • 2 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • 1 pound cake

FOR DIPPING

  • Sliced bananas 
  • Sliced apples
  • Strawberries
  • Graham crackers 

Directions

  1. Place chocolate chips in a medium heat-proof bowl. In a small pot over medium heat, heat heavy cream, vanilla, and a pinch of salt until simmering. 
  2. Pour cream over chocolate and let sit 5 minutes then whisk until smooth.
  3. Leaving a ½” border, hollow out middle of the pound cake, careful to not cut through the bottom. Cut removed pieces of pound cake into bite size pieces. 
  4. Pour ganache into hollowed out pound cake and serve with reserved pound cake and desired dippers.
