Fully Loaded Chili Cheese Fries

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of frozen French fries or seasoned fries
  • 1 can (15 oz) of chili (homemade or canned)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Sour cream for serving (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen fries package.
  2. Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven until they are crispy and golden brown.
  3. While the fries are baking, warm up the chili in a saucepan on the stovetop.
  4. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to an ovenproof dish or a baking sheet.
  5. Spread the warmed chili evenly over the hot fries.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chili-covered fries.
  7. Return the fries to the oven for a few minutes, just until the cheese has melted and starts to bubble.
  8. Remove the fully loaded chili cheese fries from the oven and top them with diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños (if using), and chopped green onions.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
