Feta Spinach Turkey Burger

Ingredients:

For the turkey burgers:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

  • 4 burger buns
  • Crisp lettuce leaves

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Turkey Burger Patties:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, finely chopped fresh spinach, crumbled feta cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
    • Gently mix all the ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
    • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  2. Cook the Turkey Burgers:
    • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Brush the surface with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

    • Add crisp lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, and red onions on top of the patty.
    • Optionally, spread tzatziki sauce or Greek yogurt sauce on the top half of the bun for extra flavor.
