Keto Air Fryer Italian Meatballs

INGREDIENTS

Air Fryer Meatballs

  • 1 pound Ground beef (75/25 blend)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning (Tony Chachere)
  • ¼ cup Parmesan (grated)
  • 3 tablespoons Basil (fresh, chopped)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Marinara Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • ¼ cup Onions (chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (chopped)
  • 15 ounces Tomatoes (crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons Basil (fresh, chopped)
  • ¼ teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Erythritol
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Air Fryer Meatballs

  1. Combine the ground beef, eggs, spices, parmesan, and one-half of the chopped basil and mix well in a medium bowl.
  2. Roll the meat into golf ball size shaped meatballs and set aside.
  3. Pre-heat air fryer to 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
  4. Add meatballs to the pre-heated air fryer basket. Spray with cooking spray and cook for 8 minutes at 400 degrees.
  5. Serve hot with marinara sauce, additional parmesan cheese, and remaining chopped fresh basil.

Marinara Sauce

  1. Heat a large skillet to medium heat. Add the olive oil and chopped onions and cook for 4 minutes until slightly translucent.
  2. Add the chopped garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Then add the basil and oregano. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Add the erythritol, salt and pepper to taste, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
